Subject: well played
Suddenly I'm a fan of Victim or the Crime. Thats how well played it was. Overall representative of spring 1990 with Brent's oh so cheesy Easy to Love You from 1980's Go To Heaven even sounding solid. As someone that "came of age" during the Keith years, I often found Brent too strong in the mix. But the spring 90 tour found me appreciating both Brent and his positive impact on Jerry's playing. His death, and it's impact on Jerry, was the beginning of the end. Don't usually rate shows I didn't attend, but I didn't need to be at this one to know it would have been a good one to have been at.

The wind.. The Dust..The Dust in the wind...Watching battle hardened and determined deadheads test their mettle by braving the gauntlet of payed college football players that stood between them and the show...OVER THE FENCE THE GO! What a cool time...!CHAD!

My favorite show from the "Brent era"
It was so hot my PMD 430 overheated and went into FF and Charlie's attempt at recording the inhouse FM broadcast was comical.
This recording sounds "flat" as compared to the copy that I have from the KPFA marathon. It's all "CHUCKED UP"

Good, solid show - kind of a sleeper, with that first set delightfully dialed in - the boys are clearly having a good time throughout (check Brent's "long, long crazy afternoon...") Victim > Foolish Heart for a set closer? Giddy-up!

Second set doesn't have too much jam, or "suite sweep" - I do like Brent halting Blow Away and Jer's immediate launch into Terrapin...and I think this is the most over-the-top I've ever heard Healy get on Bobby's Other One "synth" vocal-thing...

Subject: unicorn as well
now on the second day... I believe, it had to be, my Back Pack full of Ice in the 120 degree bath was like a island in the sea of heat. Unicorn Blue, live cast on the radio so they say, the wind at the end of the day blew me back to Placentia.

This site is insane! Thank You!! I also recognized that this song was used in the Back Stage Pass, when It first started. Thank You, I was trying to remember the name of the video, then I saw your post.
This was my 5&6 Dead show and the last time I saw Brent. I was 16 years old and Lived 10 minutes away. Those were the days. I went on to see 76 more Dead shows after this one. To hear all these
songs for the first time in 22 years brings back some great memories. The first day was so smoken hot 105, I shouldn't have eaten that unicorn 20 minutes before the band came on. I was on another planet during the second set.

It sounds like this "Easy to Love You" was used in Justin Kreutzmann's 'Backstage Pass'.

Very good show. Exellent dsbd remaster by Charlie Miller. The first track (Miss Halfstep) skipped and jumped all over the place but I suspect maybe the laser lense on my stereo might be in need of cleaning.
